International Films Section Premier

After being nominated as guest author to the film portion of the Universal Mixer blog by Olgita (my wife), how could I say no? Well, I suppose I could, but nearly 3 years of marriage has provided me the adequate wisdom when not to say no.

Subsequently, this is my first among many proceeding posts relating to films that touch upon interesting cultural phenomena and events around the world. I am neither a film buff nor a critic, but I will do my best to toss a few films into the large concoction blending in the Universal Mixer.
